Since 1999, LEAVE A LEGACY® Program of Alabama has been dedicated to building public awareness of the opportunities and possibilities in making philanthropic gifts through wills, estate plans, insurance policies, trusts and other kinds of planned giving vehicles or tools. Whether you represent a for-profit organization that cares about the community or a nonprofit organization that provides programs or services for the community, you will benefit from the LEAVE A LEGACY® awareness campaign. This national campaign is supported and managed locally by the Alabama Planned Giving Council. A LEAVE A LEGACY® Program Partner receives the following benefits:
- Listing as Program Partner. Contact information and a link to the Partner’s website will be maintained on www.leavealegacyalabama.org. Program Partners also will be listed on published material such as ads and newspaper special sections wherever possible.
- Success stories featured on Alabama website. The main page of the Alabama website will feature local stories of donors and the impact their bequest has made.. Program Partners can submit their own success stories for inclusion on a rotating basis.
- Use of LEAVE A LEGACY® logo and promotional materials. Program Partners can use this logo in their own advertising, on printed material such as stationery or brochures, and on their own website or other media. Program Partners can place national advertising material in their own publications at no charge? or pay for ads in other publications, as long as they conform to national standards in use of the material.
Note: The outreach campaign of LEAVE A LEGACY® in Alabama will i) include design and maintenance of a website, ii) distribution of brochures and posters, iii) promotion by Program Partners and other organizations, and iv) direct advertising sponsored by APGC. The full extent of the campaign, now and in the future, will be determined by the financial support of the APGC and our Program Partners. All LEAVE A LEGACY® committee members serve as volunteers and represent Program Partner organizations.
