The LEAVE A LEGACY® initiative is an on going public
outreach campaign to encourage people from all walks
of life to leave a gift to their favorite charity by
including a planned gift or bequest to charity in
their wills or estate plan. LEAVE A LEGACY® of
Alabama is a state wide program sponsored by the
Alabama Planned Giving Council (APGC). The APGC is
an affiliated council of the National Committee on
Planned Giving (NCPG). The APGC is a nonprofit
organization that is comprised of planned giving
officers, nonprofit development officers and
professional advisors such as attorneys,
accountants, trust officers, life insurance
professionals, stock brokers and financial planners.
Through the LEAVE A LEGACY® initiative the APGC is
committed to spreading the word about ways people
can help charities and programs that are important
to them by continuing to support those programs
after their deaths and making a difference in the
lives that follow.
